Cornering:
-If you turn into a corner too early, your bike will understeer heavily to the outside, and you will not be lined up for the straightaway that follows. Be patient and wait for the proper turn-in point to leave the turn with more speed.
-With traction control off, your bike will slide out from under you if you drive over the grass on the outside of a corner. However, you can ride on the grass or dirt on the inside of a turn without the same effect. Use this to cut corners, but do not go too far in to avoid a stop-and-go penalty for shortcutting.
