To get the Golden Axe, give a Scallop Seashell to Pascal. To get the Scallop Seashell, you will be need to make some trades. Purchase a Red Turnip from Joan and trade it to Wendel for a Turban or Country Guitar. If Wendel gives you a Turban, trade it to Sahara for a Massage Chair or Red Vase. If Sahara gives you a Massage Chair, trade it to Tortimer on the next holiday to be give the Scallop Seashell.

To enter Tom Nook’s home, go to the back of Tom Nook’s shop between 12:00 and 2:00 P.M. Using a shovel, hit the back wall three times. Then, hit the front entrance once to be able to enter Tom Nook’s home. You will see him wearing pajamas with a teddy bear.

To be offered a haircut style in the opposite gender of your character, get all six types of haircuts from Harriet on consecutive days. The following day, get another haircut from her and she will offer you the new haircut.
4-Leaf Clover:
4-Leaf Clovers will randomly appear with weed patches that are dug up. Use them as a hair accessory or bookmark.
Big Dot Shirt:
To get the Big Dot Shirt, go to the pattern page. Select a design and drag it to the bottom left hand corner. The Big Dot Shirt will now be in your pockets.
Birthday Cake:
When you play the game on your birthday, someone from your town will give you a Birthday Cake.
Balloon presents:
Balloon presents always arrives when the time ends in a “4” and the wind is heard.
Coconuts:
Coconuts will randomly appear on the beach.
Jacob’s Ladder flower:
To make Jacob’s Ladder flower appear at a random location in your town, get your town to “Perfect” status from Phyllis or Pelly.
Party Poppers:
To get Party Poppers, speak to Tortimer on New Year’s Eve.
Roman Candles and Sparklers:
To get Roman Candles and Sparklers, talk to Tortimer during the Fireworks Show.
Snowman furniture:
To be awarded two Snowman furniture instead of one, find the two snowballs in your town. Roll them to a medium size and then stack them by walking one into the other at the bottom left of your town. You must make the snowman in the farthest lower right square and make him perfect to get two Snowman furniture.
Free furniture:
To get free furniture, check the recycling box at the town hall. Also, the lost and found at the Main Gate may have free furniture. Talk to Booker the dog to get to the lost and found.
Choose room color:
The room color in your first house will be the same as the Nintendo DS menu color. To choose a room color, change the Nintendo DS menu color before you move in.
Getting money:
To earn money you can fish, catch bugs, and look for treasures. When fishing, only keep fish that are worth at least 1,000 Bells. When catching bugs, catch them by listening to their sounds or watch for their colors.
Easy money:
To easily get money, go the bank and save all the money you have into your account. Then, save the game and turn off the DS. Change the system date to ten or more years later and your money should go up to 99,999 Bells.

Flower Trophy hints:
-To win the Flower Trophy and beat all the competition in your town, plant a bunch of Purple and Black colored flowers. These flowers are very rare and Tom Nook doesn’t sell them. To find them, walk around your town and look for them growing. They grow randomly only once a week. When you find one, pick it and put it in your dresser. When it’s time for the Flower Fest, take the collection and make your entire garden out of them. With this garden, you will win the contest and receive the Flower Trophy.
-To win the Flower Trophy , take all of the flowers form your neighbor’s gardens during the Flower Festival and plant them around your own house.
