Flipside’s and Floopside’s Pit Of 100 Trials:
To unlock Flipside’s Pit of 100 trials, beat chapter 1 and unlock the outskirt in Flipside.
To unlock Flopside’s Pit of 100 trials, beat Flipside’s Pit of 100 trials.
Complete Flopside’s Pit of 100 trials to get cards for Bowser, Dark Bowser, Luigi, Dark Luigi, Mario, Dark Mario, Peach, and Dark Peach.
Mini-games:
At the coffee shop in Flipside B1, enter 3-D mode to access a gold pipe that takes you to an arcade with three mini-games. If you have a gold card, a fourth game will be unlocked.
Inifinite 3-D mode with Mario:
To unlock Mario’s card which gives you unlimited 3-D mode, beat Flopside’s Pit of 100 Trials twice.
Bleu Hair for Peach:
To unlock blue hair for Peach, beat the game, then talk to Bleu in Flopside.
Hammer Whacker:
To unlock the hammer whacker, in the back room of The Overthere in Flopside, get the gold card found in the treasure chest.
Easy experience:
Complete chapter 5 and go back to chapter 5-4. At the pipe where Sapiens keep coming out of, jump on the block next to it and use bowser’s flame to kill the sapiens. Continue to kill them to gain as much experience as desired.
Easy experience #2:
When you have 500 coins, go to Flopside and buy a special item for 500 coins and gives you 10,000 experience points. Get a slo mo or speed up flower and then use it to get 30,000 experience points instead of 10,000.
Easy Rubees:
Buy a lot of catch cards and go to a level with the flowers that shoot music notes. Each card that you catch is worth 300 coins.
Easy Rubees #2:
In world 1-2, buy a lot of life shrooms. Cook them and then sell them in Flipside for 96 coins each.
Dashell Pixl:
To unlock the Dashell Pixl which allows you to run faster, beat the Pit of 100 Trials in Flipside to fight a dragon named Wrecktail. Defeat Wrecktail to unlock the Dashell Pixl.
Piccolo Pixl:
The Piccolo Pixl puts enemies to sleep and can be used to reveal secret items behind walls with drawings of Piccolo engraved on it. To get the Piccolo Pixl, visit Merlee on the second floor of Flopside and talk to her. Talk to Merluvee in Flipside. Talk to Bestovious in Merluvee. Give what Merluvee gives you to Merlee, and you will get a key. Use it to open the locked door on the first floor of Flipside near the card shop. Go inside and open the treasure cheats to get the Piccolo Pixl.
Pixl abilities:
The following Pixls have the corresponding effects:
PIXL – EFFECT
Barry – Spike barer which shields from attacks.
Boomer – Blow up objects.
Carrie – Platform used to get across dangerous areas.
Cudge – Use a hammer.
Dashell – Run faster.
Dottie – Shrink yourself.
Fleep – Flip objects stuck in the wrong dimension.
Piccolo – Play special music that disintegrates certain objects.
Slim – Turn sideways and squeeze through narrow spaces.
Thoreau – Pick up objects then toss them.
Thudley – Shake the ground.
Tippi – Use the your Wii-mote sensor to scan objects and reveal hidden things.?
Locked room in Merlee’s mansion:
When you have to pay 1,000,000 Rubees, earn 100 Rubees. Then, find a man in red and give him the 100 Rubees to get the code for the VIP room. Then, get 10,000 Rubees and give it to another person in red. Note: You must flip to find him. He?ll give you the code to the safe, but you will need a certain Pixl to get to it. The code to the VIP room is “5963” and the safe is “41262816”.
Defeating Wracktail in the Pit Of 100 Trials:
When Wracktail is flying and about to dive into the ground, switch to the Pixl “Slim” and turn invisible. You won?t receive damage when he enters the ground, even though he hits the area where you are standing. Once you are on his back, switch to Bowser. Use his flames to keep the Wrackles under control when they multiply. Pick up the Wrackles and throw them at his antenna. Defeating Wracktail will be quicker this way since Bowser’s attack is double that of Mario and Peach. When you are getting kicked off of Wracktail, switch to Peach and use her parasol to float. Make sure not to land on Wracktail’s face and take damage. Repeat this until Wracktail is gone.
Gift in Sammer’s Kingdom:
After completing the game, go to Sammer’s Kingdom. There, you?ll be challenged to defeat all 100 Sammerguys. Complete the challenge to receive a gift from Sammer.
Guessing the real Merlee hint:
When choosing between the two Merlees, the real one will have a fly hovering around them from hiding in the toilet.
Free fortune teller hints:
Whenever you get stuck, save the game near your current location. Then, take the return pipe back to Flipside and go to the fortune teller. After receiving your hint, press HOME and reset the game. You will return to the save where you were stuck and the price of the fortune teller’s services won?t go up.
Shortcut for Chapter 3-1:
In Chapter 3-1, there is an underground area. Ride the elevators going up near the end and walk along the top. When you come to an area with three warp pipes, take the middle one to end up much closer to Bowser’s castle.
Getting Barry the Pixl in Chapter 3-1:
Complete Chapter 3 and return to Chapter 3-1. Speak to the bush that has the spiky Pixl behind it. He will congratulate you for finding Tippi and Barry, then join your party.
Getting the space helmet in Chapter 4-1:
When you first enter the door to Chapter 4-1, you won?t be able to breathe and require a space helmet. Exit and see Merlon, then go to Flipside?s third floor to find a kid holding a fishbowl. Talk to him and he will give it to you, but you must first find a place to release the fish. Go to Flipside B1 and head to the right until you find a body of water. You?ll then be asked if you want to release him. Say “Yes” and go back to Chapter 4-1 to receive the helmet.
Block order in Chapter 5-1:
In Chapter 5-1, the order to hit the first set of three blocks is as follows: left, right, middle. For the second set of three blocks the order is: middle, right, left, left, right, middle, right, left, right, right, middle, right, right, left, middle, middle, left, left, left, right, left, left, left, middle, middle.
Blue apples in Chapter 7-3:
There is a door in Chapter 7-3 that contains three blue apples.. Use the Pixl Cudge to bring them down. The apples will respawn each time you leave so repeat this as many times as desired until you have too many items. Note: Each apple restores 5 heart points.
Mr. L strategy:
During the fight, use Thoreau as your Pixl when you get low on HP and wait for Mr. L to use a Shroom Shake. Just when he holds it over his head, use Thoreau on Mr. L. If timed right, you will steal the shake from him. Repeat this to win.
Style moves:
After landing on an enemy and doing damage, twist the Wiimote in your hands and shake it to execute style moves. Holding ?Jump? during this attack will cause you to jump higher, allowing you more time to shake and line up for a follow up attack. The more style moves you do in a row, the higher your multiplier increases. Style moves greatly increase the pace at which you gain levels.
Throw Boomer:
You must have the exploding Pixl named Boomer. Set him down, then quickly go to the menu and select the hand Pixl, Thoreau. Pick up Boomer and you will be able to throw him at enemies and anything that can be blown up.
Tiptron:
At the end of the game you won?t have Tippi anymore. If you want a robotic version of Tippi, go to Chapter 3-4 (Fort Francis) and buy Tiptron for 999 coins. Tiptron works just like Tippi.
Fast game over:
At the beginning of the game, reject the Pure Heart Merlon tries to give you three times to receive an instant game over.
Brain Age easter egg:
Take Dorguy The Second’s test on World 7-2,. After completing the test he will say lines from Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day.
Mario series easter eggs:
-Enter Room 2828 in the Castle Of Francis to find action figures and posters from various other Mario games.
-In Chapter 2-1, when you go into the pipe that takes you to the background, the Mario from the NES game Mario Bros. appears.
Nintendo DS Lite easter eggs:
-Go into the cook’s shop in Flipside and at the very left of the building you can see a white Nintedo DS Lite that you can use for cooking.
-When you do the mission to get Picclo, Mervulee will want the “Training Machine”. When you receive it, you?ll notice that it looks like a Nintendo DS Lite.
Super Mario Bros. easter egg:
Near the end of Chapter 1-3 is a blue platform. Press Minus 1 there to unlock an easter egg to the never ending World -1 of Super Mario Bros.
Wii easter egg:
When you enter Francis’ room (with the password 2828),turn 3-D and look at the far wall at the television. Look to the left to see a Nintendo Wii system with a few games. There?s even a sensor bar on top of the television.
Naruto Akatsuki easter egg:
Go to? the 50th level and down from the Sammer Guy tournament. Look at the ninja things that throw throwing stars and you?ll notice they are wearing red coats that resemble the coat that the group The Akatsuki wears.
Jump grab glitch:
Immediately grab an enemy after jumping on it with Thoreo. It should become a “zombie” and as soon as you throw it, it will be destroyed.
Zombie cats glitch:
Do the “Jump grab” glitch with a Securibomb (exploding cat enemy) while it?s flashing red. Then, throw it into the MeowCannon (SecuriBomb Cannon enemy). It will not explode and the two will become “zombies”. Note: This only works in World 3-4.
Destroy a part of World 1-2 temporarily:
As Mario, go to the shop at the end of World 1-2. Switch to 3-D mode and go to the wall on your left. Run into the wall and switch to 2-D mode. Walk into the sign on your left and you should be sticking out halfway. Flip to 3-D mode and jump to enter another building. It will not look like anything so exit. It will look like you came out of the shop, but you will actually exit out of the building next door. If you return to the shop, you can talk to the door. Go inside, and the shopkeeper might be facing the wrong way. If you jump left and forward, you might enter an invisible black world. If you jump in a pipe, Mario will crunch up. You can still complete the level, though the star blocks are invisible.
Quick Boomer switch:
Take Boomer out and put him down. Now quickly go to the Quick menu and switch Pixls. Boomer will still be there and when blows up, he will instantly disappear and the Pixl you asked for will instantly appear.
